Did you know that there’s a proper character for the ellipsis ( … )

Yes, you know those three little dots that indicates an intentional omission of a word, sentence, or whole section from a text without altering its original meaning.

On a PC keyboard it’s Alt + 0133 on the numeric key pad, on a Mac it’s Option + ;

In HTML it can be represented by … or …

Typographically using the correct character looks a whole lot better than a row of three full stops. Sometimes you see even more than three, which just looks wrong, well it would, as it is.
